Melbourne Discourse Group was formed in 1999 as an informal discussion group with an interest in discourse analysis in its broadest sense, encompassing all kinds of theoretical approaches to the analysis of spoken and written texts. The group provides a forum in which members can share ideas and present their work in a supportive environment, and inform members of recent developments in discourse analysis. The group meets regularly at different venues in Melbourne.
